The Supply Chain Planner owns the responsibility of bringing inventory into the system. Under minimal supervision, this individual will manage execution of the procurement lists as related to quantity, vehicle conditions, distance from reconditioning facilities, and price compared to market values. This also requires analytical and strategic thought processes to ensure that the units bought are inline with market preferences for our customers. Communication with other teams is necessary to keep units from getting aged, or having other expenses incurred.
This individual will assist in creation of procurement plans that define requirements necessary to meet desired inventory levels. Will also work very collaboratively with other teams to assist with creation and execution of processes. In order to be successful, this individual will require a strong sense of ownership over their areas / regions, and make decisions that support downstream operations.
General analysis skills will be needed to ensure accuracy to KPIs such as Inventory Turns, Spend, Days of Stock, Mix, and market availability.
